Gardeners Pathway Workshop - Expand your palette of ideas!
Are you looking to expand your gardening palette of ideas? Attend the 2013 Gardeners Pathway symposium of workshops for gardeners of all levels presented by University of Illinois Extension DeKalb County Master Gardeners and Kishwaukee College on Saturday, February 23 at Kishwaukee College Conference Center (21193 Malta Road in Malta, Illinois). Begin the day with a continental breakfast and exhibit hall at 7:30 a.m. before attending keynote speaker organic gardener Rich TobiaszÃ¢?â¢s presentation Ã¢?ÅMake Mine Green.Ã¢?Â
Following TobiaszÃ¢?â¢s presentation, choose from a selection of 17 workshops ranging from floral arranging to a tour of the Kishwaukee College greenhouse. Other topics include tropical plants for Midwest gardens, new for 2013, the language of flowers, building a garden obelisk, preparing a healing garden, top ten succulent projects, and identifying common lawn and garden weeds.
The workshop fee is $50.00 which includes a continental breakfast and garden lunch, welcome bag courtesy of Ball Seed Company, and select handouts. In addition to the workshops, a wide variety of vendors will be present at the Exhibit Hall. Door prizes, the Master Gardener Silent Auction, and the Master Gardener Q & A desk will all be waiting for you, along with sponsors Stonecrete, Redbud Creek Farm, WiltseÃ¢?â¢s, Glass Garden Art, Heinz Brothers, Kyler Photography, Wasco Nursery, Blumen Gardens and several other exhibits.

Sessions will be filled in the order registrations are received. Workshops have limited seating space so be prepared with your first and second choice of workshops for each session.
