Family farmers who began raising vegetables by organic methods in 1972, now in our 11th season of CSA. On what was once a worn out tobacco farm, we have rejuvenated the land and created productive gardens and an ecosystem rich in biodiversity. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, berries, cut flowers, fresh culinary and medicinal herbs as well as shiitake mushrooms and ginger. Our produce is available at the Carrboro and Durham Farmers Markets, and thru our CSA. We participate in annual farm tours and teach workshops at conferences throughout the south, and have mentored numerous young farmers who are now successful in their own right. Our youngest daughter has recently returned home to the farm after 14 years away and will be expanding our production into medicinal and culinary herbs.
Now registering new and returning CSA members for the 2014 season. This will be our 32st year at the Carrboro Farmers Market, our 16th year at the Durham Farmers Market, and our 11th season of CSA.
