Mark's Melon Patch is located in southwest Georgia just outside the little town of Sasser - right in the heart of peanut and pecan country. Among old plantation barns, antique tractors, and cotton fields, a visit to Mark's open-air produce market is like stepping back in time. Since 1981, Mark's Melon Patch has grown some of the best farm-fresh produce for miles around, planting almost daily from March to August. Come on in and sit a spell - you'll love our homegrown watermelons, cantaloupes, sweet corn, peanuts, pumpkins, blueberries, and scuppernong grapes. You will also find delicious local pecans, sweet Georgia peaches, Vidalia onions, vine ripened tomatoes, apples, sweet potatoes, and Florida citrus. From our jellies, jams, preserves, and pickled vegetables to our candied pecans, homemade ice cream, and of course our famous boiled peanuts you are sure to find something that will delight your taste buds! So come see us at the Patch; or if you would like to order our products just visit our website or give us a call.
We are also moving every year toward more agritainment especially during our October Halloween Fall Festival when we have hayrides, our giant pumpkin jump castle, corn cannon, our new hay maze, live music and more. For photographers and champion pumpkin carvers our sunflowers and pumpkins are everywhere!
We sincerely thank all of our customers for helping us make the last 30 years special and look forward to seeing and hearing from you soon.
