Certified Naturally Grown

Certified Naturally Grown is an eco-label for farmers and ranchers that use natural methods, but seek an alternative to USDA’s certified organic program. Founded on the original ideals of the organic movement – small-scale sustainable agriculture serving local communities – CNG’s label is open only to farms that sell directly to their customers and observe traditional growing practices that work with the soil’s ecology rather than rely on chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.

This alternative certification program includes an application process, annual farm inspections and unannounced pesticide residue testing to ensure consumer confidence.
