La Montanita is a communtiy owned network of full serivce cooperative grocery stores, with locations in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Gallup. We carry over 1100 local prodcuts grown or ceated by over 400 local producers. Our Regional Food-Shed Project and resulting Coop Distribution Center seeks to expand wholesale sales and retail markets for area farmers by pick ing up products from producers in our 300 mile food-shed region and distributing them to a variety of retail outlets, including our grocery stores. The distrubion system also completes the circle by delivering to participating producers, cooperatively purchased feed, packing materials and other producer needs. Our regional eco -label Beneficial Farms acknowledges higher levels of environmental stewardship and allows producers who are not yet certified organic to participate.

La Montanita Co-op is a network of communtiy owned, full service grocery stores and a regional Food-shed distribution system in New Mexico, that focuses on supporting local farmers and producers by expanding wholesale opportunities and retail outlets for local prodcuts. Our four locations in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Gallup carry over 1100 local products daily. You do not need be a member to shop. Open to the public.
