Ag Against Hunger (AAH) is a clearinghouse for surplus crops grown in the Salinas and Pajaro Valleys of Central California. The agency’s mission is to alleviate hunger by providing a link between the agricultural community and food assistance organizations. AAH donates most of the produce it receives locally, but depending on the available supply, also ships to food banks as far away as Colorado. Local growers/shippers have donated more than 135 million pounds of produce since the program’s inception in 1990. Website: www.agagainsthunger.org.
