Meridian Jacobs is a family farm located at the western edge of the Sacramento Valley in northern California. We raise Jacob sheep with an emphasis on top quality fleeces. Our flock of 60+ Jacob sheep supply us with unique spotted wool for handpsinning, knitting, weaving, and felting. All sheep are registered with the Jacob Sheep Breeders Association (JSBA) and we participate in the Heritage Breeds Show at the CA State Fair (2008 Reserve Champion Ram). The sheep graze most of the year on irrigated pasture and we use the principles of intensive grazing management to promote healthy pasture and healthy sheep and ensure a sustainable system. We use minimal-stress animal handling techniques when working with the sheep and it shows in the calm nature of the flock.

We raise Jacob sheep for their unique, versatile, natural colored wool. In addition to the wool, Jacob sheep provide mild, flavorful lamb, unique spotted lambskins, and horns for a variety of uses. Robin weaves award winning blankets from our wool as well as weaving custom blankets for other fiber producers.
