The Arboretum's Horticultural Research Center (HRC), has developed cold-hardy fruit varieties for northern climates since 1908. HRC apple breeding has produced 21 new varieties, many of which have become MN favorites. At the HRC you can buy about 80 varieties of apples, plums and grapes in season. Participate in a consumer taste panel. Maple syrup and honey are also available. Located 2 mi W. of Hwy 41 on St. Hwy 5, West of Chanhassen. Open late Aug - Nov. 1, 10am-6pm (Mon-Sat), Noon-6pm (Sun). Apples, Grapes, Honey, Maple syrup.
