Minto Island Growers

Our farm has been family owned since the 1970's. Elizabeth Miller and Chris Jenkins have continued work on the family farm with a conversion to organic vegetable production starting in 2008; we have been certified organic by Oregon Tilth since 2010. Currently we farm 40 acres in a mixed vegetable production/cover crop rotation including 5 acres of blueberries. We also have continued the native plant nursery, do mint propagation, hybrid poplar research and production and grow a 1/2 acre of tea. We are growing MANY vegetables and varieties, from arugula to watermelons. Our passion is growing high quality, nutritious vegetables that are picked fresh and marketed directly to our community!

You can find us at the Salem Saturday Market every Saturday beginning in April, or at our Farm Stand just 10 minutes from downtown Salem- see our website for current hours and days of operation. We also operate a fantastic CSA (we are very proud of our weekly produce boxes!) from June-October as well as a Winter CSA, Nov-January.

Their produce is extremely fresh and diverse. It was such a treat to receive some CSA boxes from them. You never knew what you were going to get (although of course there were some really great staples) and that was definitely for the best.... [more]
