's a dark amber honey with a great taste! I can't specifically say what floral source it came from but I believe it has some Aster & Goldenrod in it as it has a tendency to crystallized if kept in a cool environment, so if you eat it in a reasonable time it won't crystallize for you. Most everyone who tries it agrees that it has more flavor than our lighter honey.
The utmost care is taken in keeping our bees and harvesting our honey. Our honey is never heated above the temperature that is attained in the beehive.
We are a "Home-based" business, open year-round by appointment. Our honey is available in sizes ranging from 8 oz. jars to 5 gal. buckets. We have a fine selection of Beeswax candles, bulk beeswax, plain & Cinnamon Creamed Honey, & honey recipe brochures. "Honey candy" in 6 flavors and "honeystix" in 20 flavors, all available wholesale & retail.
For those of you with alergies to local plants, ALL of our honey is considered raw, as it is not pasteurized or micron filtered. Many people are reading on the 'internet' that only crystallized honey is raw. This is absolutely not true. Most all honeys will crystallized if stored in cool temps. We do have crystallized honey and offer it in 1 lb. and 5 lb. containers. With the 'less than average' honey harvest for 2012 we are currently sold out of Comb Honey.
Honey bee colonies rentals are also available for pollination service.
