The City of Macon Main Street Program and Macon Roots invite you to be a part of downtown Macon's food renaissance. We are launching a Mulberry Street Market in Downtown Macon, Georgia on April 6 and want growers to come to be a part of it. The Market will take place on Wednesday evenings from April 6 to September 28.
The Mulberry Street Market is part of the Macon Main Street Program's efforts to bring life and business to Downtown Macon, and is directed by vendors dedicated to the people of Macon.
This is an unprecedented opportunity in Middle Georgia for you to grow your business and your farm through direct sales to consumers. Macon's Central Business District is the home of 826 Businesses, 20,000 employees, multiple churches, Middle Georgia's largest hospital, and offices for all levels of government. The market location on Mulberry Street at Second Street sees 15,000 cars daily, making it a highly visibly location to sell your products. The location is right outside the largest office building in Macon and the Bibb County Courthouse.
Mulberry St Park, between First st and Second st.
Wednesday evenings from 4:30-7.
I am glad that this is a producer's market. There are not supposed to be vendors here that go pick up wholesale produce from a farmer's market and resell it as if they were the producer.... [more]
I have attended twice now and plan on attending at least 2x a month. The produce has been exceptional and the meat very good. I love the sense of community that is typically lacking in Macon.
