Mullein Verbascum thapsus a/k/a Aaron's Rod
Mullein is used for all sorts of respiratory conditions including: , COPD and Asthma , whooping cough, tuberculosis, bronchitis, hoarseness, pneumonia, colds, flu, swine flu, fever
Mullein is applied to the skin for wounds, burns, hemorrhoids, bruises, frostbite, and skin infections (cellulitis). The leaves are used topically to soften and protect the skin.
The chemicals in mullein are able to fight influenza and herpes viruses, and some bacteria that cause respiratory infections.
Comment: Drink one to three cups daily, as needed, hot mullein tea to clear thick nasal and bronchial congestion, it works within minutes. Use mullein tea to treat asthma. It is not as fast acting as inhalers, but within 10-15 minutes of drinking a cup of mullein tea you should be able to breathe just fine Sold in convenient tea bags. Use 1 tea bag per cup of tea.

For the most part unless mentioned otherwise, each tea bag will make 3 to 4 cups of tea; If loose herb tea,two ounces will make about 23 cups of tea . One ounce of just an herb is about a sandwich bag, and sometimes a little more. If it is a root herb such as burdock root it is heavier, thus an ounce would be about a quarter of a sandwich bag. Comfrey, plantain and nettle leaves would be in a quart size bag.
