Located in the historic Starr Settlement, our 160 year old plus homestead has played many roles. Prior to 1950, our farm was a "Sugar Farm", producing maple syrup from the now aging Sugar Maple trees. In the more recent past, this farm was a dairy farm and later a breeder of Percheron horses and beef cattle. Currently, we raise meat goats. We have registered Boers and Spanish goats. The Spanish goats make excellent brush goats and are very hardy. Our goats are exclusively pastured and are usually nice and fat off of Ritchie County's lush hillsides. We usually always have several kids available for a pet, or that special meal, (young goat is delicious!). We have lots of other farm animals to pet and look at if you just want to bring your kids (children, that is) to see the farm. Just call in advance if you would like to come out.
