Willow Bark Farm is a small farm. We are a family owned and operated small farm business in rural Southern Illinois. Nestled near scenic Shawnee National Forest and the Mississippi River.
Here on the farm we are gearing up for the 2015 growing season.
Spring planting season is right around the corner. We are happy to be offering several different varieties of heirloom seed this growing season.
All of our seeds are untreated and packaged in zip bags to assure freshness. The zip bags with seed can be stored in your freezer for longer storage.
Our seed are then packaged in bubble envelopes. This protects the seed during shipping.
We are a earth, animal and environment friendly business.
We practice sustainable farming methods to ensure future generations will be able to enjoy a healthy earth.
We would like to thank all of our customers for their purchases.
We do appreciate all of our customers and are thankful for each and every one!
With today's economy that is affecting us all. Planting a garden will not only save you money with rising food costs, it gives you choices to healthy home grown produce straight from the garden. Besides the vegetables and fruits taste so much better as they are freshly harvested.
It keeps your food source local, which saves you money by not traveling to local supermarkets to buy produce that is easily grown in your garden. With a little hard work and small investment you can reap the benefits of fresh from the garden vegetables and fruits.
There are a lot of reasons for growing heirloom & open pollinated plants, but most importantly, growing heirlooms-open pollinated promotes the preservation of our agricultural gene pool.
Reports show that 97% of the cultivated varieties of plants growing 100 years ago, are now gone forever.
We ship our seed regular USPS mail and at times it can take up to 1 week to reach certain areas by the postal service.
Wishing you a wonderful growing season and a bountiful harvest!
