Oak Valley Dairy

Our farm is located in the Merced River Bottom, which lends itself to organic farming in a riparian setting. We milk 300 organic Jersey and Holstein cows while farming 500 acres of pasture, corn, and oats. This past summer we started 400 organic chicks and in January of 08 they started laying the most beautiful brown eggs. We have 5 employees and have room for one more. Calf raising or farming skills are most needed. Our chickens are pasture raised and live in a mobile chicken coup. The coup is 33 feet long with the look of the mobile home it used to be. We do lock them in at night to keep them safe from predators, but their days are filled with bugs, pasture, and fresh air.

I had stopped eating eggs several years ago because I do not agree with factory farming and I was living in an area with no local farms like Fresno has.... [more]

This family farm not only has the most fresh eggs, they also have the best butter we have ever tasted!

So good!! What a difference these eggs are over the store bought ones. It's great to see the chickens wandering about enjoying the grass and being chickens instead of caged never to see the outdoors.
