Oakton house and gardens are located just off the historic Marietta square on 4 acres of an origional 350 acre tract. The main house was built in 1838 and the boxwood partier, barn and front gardens were laid out in 1870. Today we grow apples ,paeches , pears ,figs, blueberries, blackberries ,strawberries veggies , flowers and herbs.
We practice fun gardening, playing around with colors ,tectures, and shapes while mixing flowers ,herbs and fruit together with art and found objects. Classes , workshops and tours available throughout the year.
Visit us every sat. at the Marietta Square Farmers market 9-12 May-Sept.
