This old-time heirloom tomato variety has been a staple in the home garden for many years. My grandfather considers this one of his favorite varieties going way back. Even though his garden isn't as large as before, he still makes sure to grow a few Old Brooks tomato plants every year. This variety produces fruit in clusters of 2-3 tomatoes that are medium/large 6-8oz. each and very uniform. Fruits ripen evenly and have a very small core. Fruits are perfectly round and have good quality flesh that holds up well. They are fairly acidic making them the perfect choice for canning. Vigorous vines produce regularly throughout a long season.
