I don't think that I made enough.....But then again, I never do! An old, old recipe, and something you just don't see anymore. The pears are grown in an old orchard down the road. It's been a long time since it was tended to, but the trees still bear fruit. Naturally sweet, this butter is safe for diabetics. I use very little sugar, cause it doesn't need much. A little bit of lemon juice, and a few spices, and it's quite a treat. Pints only, until they run out. Enjoy!! Fresh from the family farm. What I don't grow myself, I get from other local farms.
