Old Loon Farm is located between Old Lake and Loon Lake in Whitley County, northern Indiana. In addition to 10 acres of tillable land, we have 20 acres of woodland and frontage on Old Lake. Since 2002, we have transformed the former soybean field into a small working farm with barns, hayfields, fenced pastures, flowers, vegetable gardens and a fledgling orchard. As much as possible, on Old Loon Farm we use organic and heirloom seed and plants, as well a natural and sustainable methods of fertilizing and pest control, including crop rotation and fallow fields, light cultivation, integrated pest management, mulching, composting and natural manure. Our laying hens are free-range and our chickens are pastured, raised without antibiotics or growth hormones.

Our farm store is located at 7551 N Brown Road, down the long lane. Open most days during spring, summer and fall from10 am till dusk. You may want to call ahead during the winter season to be sure we're open. Fresh eggs and other products available year round; fresh vegetables in season. Closed on holidays.

We offer fresh vegetables and fruits from the first week of April through late November. Our specialty is wide varieties of lettuce, greens and other salad ingredients.
Cage-free brown and white eggs are available year-round for $2.00/dozen.
Our farm store specialties include our own hand crafted fruit and hot pepper jams and preserves, goat milk fudge, whole grain granola and breads (please order ahead), and hand-made natural grape vine wreaths.
