Welcome to O'Regan Family Farm! Pat, Amy, Molly and Brian specialize in naturally grown hormone free Beef, chickens and eggs! Our animals are raised on pasture or free range until winter time. We then provide shelter and grain to help keep them healthy and comfortable. We are moving more towards grass fed beef as we transition into a totally organic farm. Our fall calf herd will be completly grass fed by fall 2009. Spring calves will be fed grain the final 60 to 90 days to get the optimum finish.
Brian and Molly our children are active in FFA and 4-H. Brian's home raised, hormone free fair calf won the carcass contest at the Winneshiek County fair in 20081 Molly's calf was in the top ten. We sell whole, halves and quarters of beef. Pat will take them to a locker of your choice within 50 miles. If you want to go further, there may be trucking charges. Pricing is based on daily Market rate. Generally speaking your finished product.. Steaks to ground chuck, will cost less than the sale priced hamburger in local groceries. Storage doesn't ever seem to be a problem! Our friends and family are always willing to take fresh beef off of our hands! It makes a great gift for the person who has everything!
Our chickens are wonderful. We have a laying flock of 36, and the delicious jumbo brown eggs are very much enjoyed by family and neighbors, but we always have extra to sell, at $1.50 per dozen. We do raise broilers on a custom basis from late April through September. These birds are naturally grown, with outside facilities. In spring 2009 we will have compost and manure for gardens, pickup or delivery are available along with custom roto-tilling for your garden. Hay and straw are also available!
