This box contains assorted sizes, Large to Small of the finest eating garlic anywhere. Our main variety of garlic that we sell is a stiff-neck (Porcelain Variety) known as Pennsylvania Extra Hearty. This is our own variety that we have developed over the years, and it originally came from a strain of German Extra Hearty. In my opinion, this is one of the finest tasting (not too hot & not too mild, just right), easiest to peel, and best storing (To Store: Keep cool, dry & dark for longest storage (Not in the fridge!!!)), of all the varieties that I've ever tried, and we've tried just about all of them.
Our garlic was the Blue Ribbon winner for several years at the Crawford County Fair, one of the largest agricultural fairs in Pennsylvania, (A good story . . . last year we didn't enter the fair (too busy), so our neighbor, whom we provided the garlic seed stock, entered, and HE won the blue ribbon too!!) So, as you can see, our genetic stock is superb.
Note: If the price seems high, think again. This is American grown garlic, not an import (Did you know the majority of all garlic sold in this country is grown in China? Yes, even the "organic" ones). This is a fair price for a small family farmer to grow, clean, pack and ship a good, healthy product and earn a little money at the same time.
