Organic Asian pear is the main production in our orchard, located 130 miles from O'hare Airport, Beside the many varieties of Asian pear we grow, we also grow pawpaw the heritage fruit which is the largest native tree- fruit in the U.S., and blackwalnut, black currant, spring fed watercress. We do not maket these pears in large quantities, they are not grown for appearance, they are picked when they are ripe and are taken straight to the market unlike super market pears. Dehydrated Asian pear chips and Asian pear perry are the current products we are working on. All the farm work are done by myself and my husband, we intend to stay as a small farm, so we can manage it better and grow it as nature intended. We also sell Asian pear and pawpaw tree and other unusual fruit plant.
