The Farm at Our House

The Farm at Our House is a 3.5 acre, certified organic vegetable and small fruit farm with a flock of 100 free-range laying hens. Our farm (an LLC) is located on the land of a nonprofit, Our House, a residential job-training program for at-risk youth. Our House trainees are mentored in life skills and carpentry and prepare for their GED. Through the collaboration between Our House and the farm, Our House Trainees also have the opportunity to gain employment and experience in organic farming.

The original Youth Garden at Our House was established in 2002 by Dr. Ed Gould. In 2007, John Brill partnered with Our House to continue running its established Youth Garden, and John moved his small organic farm operation, Sligo Creek Farm, to Our House. Marc Grossman joined John as a farm co-owner in 2008, and Sligo Creek Farm changed its name to The Farm at Our House in 2012.

We offer a CSA, and sell our produce through local farmers markets and restaurants. We welcome volunteers, and sell our free-range eggs from the farm during the winter.
