We are a small farm on the Necktie River in Northern Minnesota. We currently are expanding our gardening operation by building a "high tunnel" and several low tunnels to extend the season. By planting time we should have about two acres of garden tilled and ready to go!
We also raise free range chickens and turkeys which up to now have gone to family and friends. Perhaps in the future we will be able to sell them. For now they provide the most lovely fertilizer!
Last year was our first season selling our produce at a farmers market, and that venture turned out to be an awesome experience. We met so many wonderful people who share our vision and values for a local foods resurgence and will definitely be involved with the Bemidji Area Farmers Market this season. We especially enjoyed sharing fresh, local food with the community! Our plan is to begin a CSA in this area and are currently setting up a website and are looking for customers who would like fresh produce, baked goods, maple syrup, etc. on a weekly basis throughout the growing season. Feel free to call or email us if this situation fits your need.
