If you don't have a green thumb, this is the plant for you.
Just use a little Root Tone if you prefer but what you don't want to do is use expensive heat mats and minigreenhouses to start these. That's how tough they are. Just a pot with some soil and place a ziplock bag around the pot after you water and keep out of the direct sun.
FIrst read some of the temp requirements available on the internet if you are not familiar with the plant.
The Red Rover variety is considered one of the best passion fruit to eat straight up although very rare to find. Actually nearly impossible. We have limited stock in this one. It is as hardy or more hardy to start than the Fredricks but the Fredricks is the industry standard and gives tremendous amounts of fruit.
Nancy Garrison is a golf ball sized fruit but exquisite and small enough for pot growing although it will need a trellis and trimming. Vine will produce up to 900 fruit as an adult in an orchard environment.
Black Knight is a container plant that has the same flavor as Nancy Garrison if not a bit more interesting. Grows to about five feet if you have it trellised. For the East and patios, this plant can be brought indoors in the winter. Rare variety.
