Find a diverse selection of heirloom, open-pollinated and out-of -the-ordinary vegetable, herb and flower seedlings.... The focus of Peacetree is on sustainability and diversity, offering a wide selection of seedlings for home gardeners. All plants are greenhouse grown on a human scale using soil, seeds, and soil amendments that are appropriate for good, clean agriculture, and conform to organic standards. I am committed to supporting a sustainable agricultural system - one where our input augments and benefits the continuance of natural cycles and where we are locally connected to the sources of our food. This year peacetree has over 300 varieties of plants....many heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cole crops, onions, leeks, salad and braising greens, cardoons, (with a slight bias toward Italian flavors!), culinary (and a few medicinal) herbs and native and cultivated flowers.   • Specializing in heirloom tomatoes - 50 varieties of early, slicing, paste, cherry and grape. Many are heirlooms, most are open-pollinated. Tomatoes available beginning May 15, with a few early varieties the week before. Greenhouse open now! Shop at the greenhouse on Tues. & Thurs 10-6 (please call for an appointment other weekdays) or find us at Troy Waterfront Farmer's Market on Saturdays in May and June, or Schenectady Greenmarket on Sundays in May and June.
