Peacework Organic Farm grows 70 crops, over 200 varieties, providing shares for households within half an hour's drive of the farm in Wayne County and Ontario County, New York. We also supply the shares for the Genesee Valley Organic CSA in Rochester, New York. GVOCSA members pick up their shares at the Abundance Cooperative Market, 62 Marshall St., Rochester. For each GVOCSA share, we ask members to work 3 four-hour shifts at the farm and 2 two-and-a-half hour shifts on distribution at the coop, or to be a member of the core group, which administers the CSA. Local members do 3 four-hour shifts of farm work and form area groups to share pick up so that everyone does not need to drive to the farm every week. (more...)
