Our beautiful male Peacock, "Daston", has finished this year's breeding (we are waiting for four eggs to hatch out now), and has graced us with a beautiful collection of gorgeous feathers. They range from 24 inches to over five feet long!!! Call if you have a specific wish list - otherwise, allow us to select the best feathers for you. First come, first served - these are great for all kinds of craft projects, or stunning displayed in a tall vase.
Daston and is girlfriend Temina have lived at Thunder Mountain for just one year now, and this is their first breeding. They free-range in a large pen by day and are guarded by our peacock guard-dog Bianca at night. Peacocks (an peahens) make great pets, eat a wide range of seeds, vegetables, fruits and insects, and are tolerant of all sorts of weather conditions.
At Thunder Mountain Alpaca Ranch, all of our huacaya alpacas are ARI registered and available for sale. Or, you can purchase an "Alpaca Share" and receive a share of the fleece harvest every year. Peacock feathers are available in July and until supply runs out. Alpaca Poo Fertilizer is made fresh daily, and will add wonderful, natural "not hot" nutrients to your garden or plantings.
