We are a couple that moved from Chicago to rural property in the Kankakee area. Although the move has been a shock to our urban habits, we love our modest life in the middle of nowhere. We have participated in the Chicago Farmers Markets since 2007, growing staple vegetables such as salad and cooking greens, carrots, potatoes, squash, onions, tomatoes, peppers and more. Our goals derive from concerns about our country's global, non-sustainable, corporate food system. We are dedicated to providing an alternative to that system by managing our soil organically and providing Chicagoans with a chance to connect with their food through CSA participation or our worker share option. We are currently accepting CSA subscriptions for 2012. Please visit our website!
