Raw Honey is truly seasonal. Unless your local beekeeper owns hundreds of hives.

The best case is to have a "spring" harvest and then a "fall" harvest, weather permitting. Since I have been a beekeeper, this is the first year that I have been able to harvest the light and delicate spring crop. What a blessing!

We were the first Certified Naturally Grown apiary in Pennsylvania. CNG requires strict standards for natural methods in managing the honey bees. My apiary grows its own queens and if I increase beehives, it is from within my own colonies.

Summer Smiles Honey does NOT apply the standard spring and fall medications, miticides, and other antibiotics.

I do NOT harvest a late fall crop of honey if winters stores are low, to ensure my precious honey bees have more than enough honey to survive our harsh PA winters. Most beekeepers take all of the honey they can, and then supplement feeding with sugar syrup to build up winter stores. This isn't so at my apiary.

Healthy bees start from the ground up with proper nutrition. Healthy honey bees make Pennsylvania Select Raw Honey!

Summer Smiles Honey Farm is focused on providing 100% pure and natural homegrown goods that will make you wonder why you ever used synthetic commercial products, which are just as bad for our bodies as the environment. Customer satisfaction is my first priority - I will do everything I can to meet your expectations.

With a variety of pure and natural offerings to choose from, I'm sure you'll be happy shopping with me. Look around and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me.
