This gorgeous variety originated in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The flavor is not overpowering, but mellow and garlicky. Cloves are smaller than those in our other hardnecks, but more per bulb, about 8-12.
We are committed to sustainable growing methods, without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Our northern climate is especially suitable for the hardneck varieties we grow, which have shown to be vigorous during our cold winters and successfully emerge through a thick layer of mulch in spring.
Garlic is graded by size with the largest bulbs selling first. One pound of garlic contains from 5 to 10 or more bulbs, depending on the size. We sell only the highest quality - if we wouldn't plant it, we won't sell it!
