California Heirloom Monviso Garlic which originally came from the Piedmont region of Italy near Monte Viso has been grown in California since 1956. It retains its flavor even after cooking. I've taken this great garlic and preserved it in a proprietary brine that takes the raw "bite" out while retaining its unique flavor and sweetness. Excellent in salads, on sandwiches or in an Antipasto.
