The Pine Bush Farmers Market -- Saturdays, 9-1:30, May 21 through October 15 -- is located in downtown Pine Bush, a hamlet situated in the Wallkill River Valley in northern Orange County. The market offers locally produced vegetables, including organic and heirloom varieties, cow and goat cheeses, pasture-raised all-natural meats, fruits and berries, artisan breads, gourmet sweets and savory items, jams, garden plants and bouquets. The market also offers local maple sugar products, and weekly local artists and muiscians. The Farmers Market hosts 4 celebrations throughout the season, varying from the early season Strawberry Day to the annual Tomato-Me-Crazy contest in which area gardeners compete in categories of tastiest, biggest, weirdest and best overall tomatoes.
