Pinnacle Pastures Farm has been owned and operated by the family for over 60 years. Cody has taken over daily management of the farm which is certified organic. Additional rented acreage is in transition. No corn or soy is fed in poultry or swine diets. Preference is given to heritage breeds of livestock. We currently raise beef cattle, dairy heifers, swine, sheep, ducks, geese, guineas, laying hens and broilers who enjoy the protection of Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs.
Livestock raised on grass pastures are not only delicious, but higher in omega 3 fatty acids and other nutrients which are essential for heart health, and reducing the risk of allergies, arthritis, autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, and obesity.
Beef cattle and sheep are grass finished. Sows farrow outdoors and are kept on pasture during the grazing season. Piglets are weaned at 8 weeks and have access to the outdoors, soil, and large bales of straw, hay, or haylage. Broilers are finished on clover/ grass pastures. Ducks, geese, and laying hens free range with livestock during the grazing season.
All of our livestock are managed in a humane manner, never receiving hormones which may contribute to human health problems. We never use chemical fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides on our farm in an effort to improve the life and health of the soil and water. Antibiotics are only used when animals are ill and alternative treatments have not worked.
No corn or soy in poultry or swine grain mixes. Please email or call for more detailed information. Meat and eggs are available for pickup at the farm. We encourage visitors to let us know when they will arrive so we are near the barn at that time. Hope to see you soon!
