Salamander Springs Farm Pinto Beans are grown using absolutely no pesticides, fertilizers or or tractor cultivation. The beans are hand harvested when dry in late summer and are shelled & winnowed throughout the fall and winter. Pinto beans are a wholesome and nutritious source of protein, a staple in Mexican cuisine, and a popular soup bean here in Appalachia. br] Each package includes a delicious recipe which is a favorite here on the farm.
