I am a nutritionist and writer, interested in reviving do-it-yourself projects in my kitchen, my home, and my community. My focus over the past few years has been on do-it-yourself projects in the kitchen, mainly through food preservation techniques and in-home artisan food practices.
As a nutritionist, I share how the foods you purchase and consume impact the quality of your health, your personal and local economy, and your environment. Choosing local sources of produce, dairy, meat, baked goods, honey, and beverages creates personal, economic, and environmental sustainability. I work with individuals, famalies, and community organizations helping them to develop fun and easy food preservation and artisan food practices, allowing them to eat locally through out the year.
I shop locally through Copper Moose Farm, the Wed. farmers' market at the Canyons, the Sat. farmers' market in Liberty Park, Park Silly on Sun. I also buy into the local meat and honey shares through Copper Moose Farm. I buy local cheese from Beehive Cheese and other dairy products from Redmon Heritage Farms. When I purchase bread, it is from Volkers Bakery.
Choosing local sources of produce, dairy, meat, baked goods, honey, and beverages creates personal, economic, and environmental sustainability. Playful Noshings will help you to develop fun and convenient food preservation and in-home artisan food pracitces, which will allow you to eat these local foods through out the entire year.
