As an addition to your share, the Share of the Farm Pork Bonus Pack includes approximately 40 pounds of locally raised pork delivered with your Share of the Farm Share over 10 weeks.
The Pork Share will include pork chops, a ham, roasts, ribs, bratwurst, bulk sausage, sausage patties, bacon and maple breakfast links.
This add on to the program comes to us via the Albright Family in Coldwater, MI. With a long history of livestock production, the Albrights sell show pigs and roaster pigs, sell commercial pork and engage in custom livestock feeding. They also offer hog roasts throughout the warmer months of the year.
Albright Swine Farms is MAEAP verified (Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program), and is also a PQAPlus (Pork Quality Assurance) farm.
In addition, the Albright family helps manage Countryside Quality Meats, a USDA-inspected meat plant in Union City. Pork is processed at the facility, as are other types of meat, including goat and ostrich.
