Portage River Farm

Our little family farm began commercial operation in 2009. We grow a wide variety of vegetables and herbs for our CSA and for Farmer's Markets in the region.

We are now in our second season of sharing healthy food and life on the farm with 84 families. Each year we are making room to welcome more families into our community and are always expanding the varieties of food that we provide. We grow year round in our fields and hoop house and are currently adding root cellars to further enhance our winter production capability.

In addition to vegetables and herbs, our shares also include farm fresh eggs, maple syrup and honey. Throughout the year we host many on-farm social events to integrate our members and their families into the farm life such as bonfire parties, sugaring off parties, skating parties, barn dances, picnics and farm project work days.
