The Poulet Fermier is a European style broiler chicken, specifically the Cou Nu breed. This bird is entirely new to the North American market and has very limited availability. We raise our birds in the open air, ranging over lush green pastures. Their diets consist of fresh whole grains, fresh organic apples and fresh raw organic goat milk. The meat has been described as "pheasant like, fruity and creamy." This is a free ranging bird, so please keep in mind that the meat has more texture than the industrial birds we Americans are accustomed to.
You will receive a box with two or four freshly smoked Gourmet European style chickens. (These are the same chickens that are available unsmoked.)
