We are a small Market Grower in Northern Aitkin County. We use organic methods of vegetable farming, but are not certified organic we are exempt from organic certification as we are small. We have a variety of vegetables available starting in late June with gourmet lettuces and snap peas. Tomatoes, peppers, squash, Chinese vegetables, cabbage, broccoli, beans, potatoes, onions and cauliflower available starting in mid to late July, through the end of September. Most of our vegetable varieties are either Heirloom or rare varieties. We experiment with new varieties each year taking into account color, texture, taste, yields and disease resistance. We use organic seed when available and do not use genetically altered seed ever. (more...)
