Provident Organic Farm is a Community Supported Agriculture farm or CSA. In our CSA, members pay before the season begins so that our farmers can use the funds for expenses related to growing the produce for the CSA. In exchange, as the harvest comes in, our farmers supply each household with a weekly supply of fresh, organically grown produce. The farmer uses all of his knowledge and skill to grow healthy, delicious organically grown vegetables, using sustainable agricultural practices, and members enjoy the bounty. Produce is also available for sale at local farmers' markets. Provident Organic Farms consists of several growing operations in the vicinity of Salisbury, MD. Started in 2001 with a small group of dedicated shareholders and one farm, it has grown to serve over 200 families and several farmers. (more...)
