Fruits are small, ribbed slightly and perfect for pies or baked same as squash. Sugar pumpkins have been around for a long time. The flesh is a nice orange color with a fine-grained texture, sweet to taste, and stringless.
Sugar pie is a heavy feeder and grows well next to compost heaps. These pumpkins also keep well once picked. Cooler areas do better with smaller varieties. Exceptional quality all around ! I'm planning to grow this every year. Don't apply too much nitrogen! You'll get more vine than fruit.
No chemical fertilizers used. all natural- open pollinated seed
