85 days. OP. A long, tapered, medium to thick walled, purple sweet pepper. Later to produce, but productive and well worth the wait. It starts out purple and changes to fully red when ripe and at its sweetest. It turns several sunset colors all at the same time along the way. When fully red the flavor is out of this world. I have been trying to figure out how to describe the flavor that would do it justice, but all I can come up with is 'candy flavored'. It is more than just sweet. It needs a long season and plenty of heat to develop the flavor, but is definitely worth it. The best flavored sweet pepper I have ever eaten. I can only imagine how amazing it would be roasted because my kids eat them all up before I get the chance to roast any. Tall, healthy bush is very productive and needs support.
Our plants are sustainably raised in our own potting mix. We use only organic fertilizers and sprays if needed. We have been growing and selling plants since 1997.
Our pepper plants are shipped in individual 3" deep pots. They are 4 to 10 inches tall and are ready to be planted out in your garden.
We are now closed for the 2014 season. Thank you to all of our wonderful customers! We will be back in January, 2015.
We produce all of our own seed, unlike most seed sellers. We never purchase bulk seeds and repackage them. You can be sure that you are getting top quality, healthy, and vigorous seeds from us, and that they were produced by us on our small farm in healthy soil.
We are licensed by the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture to sell plants (license #1931) and seed (license #149045) produced by us. We exceed the Federal minimum germination standards and post our germination test results with each variety
