Our Coturnix Quail are raised hormone and antibiotic free, in open air cages. Our birds are harvested from eggs hatched on our farm. The birds are sold whole and dress out and average 1/4 pound per bird. Regular packs contain two birds, family packs contain four birds.
All birds are sold frozen and only sold locally. We do not ship frozen meat at this time. An easy way to prepare them from a thawed state, lightly coat a casserole dish in olive oil, place birds backs down, drizzle olive oil over the birds and sprinkle with rosemary. Cover dish with foil tent and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes, (ensuring the birds are completely done and have reached an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F.) Enjoy with a side dish of brown rice topped with poached quail egg and steamed broccoli. Serve with a nice Pinot Noir and your home made dinner is 5 star quality at a fraction of the price!!
Birds can either be picked us at our farm in Greenville (hours are by appointment, please call in advance), or we may be able to deliver to you! If you're not sure of the boundaries of our delivery area, feel free to call or email us!
All items subject to availability. Quality is important to us, so inferior products will immediately be removed from inventory, thus effecting current inventory levels.
