Quite Contrary Gardens is a small, naturally grown market garden specializing in heirloom and international varieties of vegetables and herbs, heritage breed poultry, free range chicken eggs, and medicinal and culinary herb plants. We use no chemical fertilizers, synthetic pesticides or antibiotics. We are committed to maintaining heirloom seed free from GMO contamination.
Please contact us if you have any interest in pastured, heritage breed chickens for next summer. These birds spend their days outside in the sun on lush green pastures and are fed a supplemental grain blend free from GMO corn and soy. They are heritage Delaware breed chickens (on the Slow Food Ark of Taste list) and Label Rouge type Naked Necks. They are grown out to 12-14 weeks, giving them a rich, firm, flavorful meat.
