Daikon roots are large, often 2 to 4 inches in diameter and 6 to 20 inches long. Very easy to grow. Has a crisp, mild flavor and is excellent fresh in salads. Roots are usually peeled, sliced, grated or diced for soups and stews or they can be boiled whole or dehydrated as strips or diced.
Plant in mid spring. Plant 1/2 inch deep. Plant 1 foot apart. Rows to 2 ' apart. Quick to mature.
