RareBird Nursery is a small operation with great expectations. Our nursery department is focused on native North American plant species that help build and perpetuate natural habitats for birds, insects and animals. We also have a beautiful collection of salvia species that attract many hummingbirds and bees.
We are pleased to introduce our organic farm produce into this operation. Currently, we sell our produce through co-ops, farmer's markets and local restaurants. Many of our warm season varieties consist of heirloom tomatoes, peppers and eggplants, along with heirloom melons and watermelons. Cole crops are our main winter crops including spinach and kale.
At RareBird Nursery we continue to improve our methods by striving to be a sustainable farm. We use chicken and horse manure to fertilize, cover crops to maintain soil integrity and composting to complete the cycle.
We participate in local farm tours, agronomic and horticulture internships and give many presentations to local clubs and committees. We are committed to excellence and feeding the future without harming the earth.
We invite you to contact us if you have any questions. Thank you, RareBird Nursery
We are a small organic farm and nursery supplying annuals, perennials, herbs and produce. We are open April through October to the public; however, we gladly give farm tours by appointment. Hobbyists, farmers, birders are welcome!
