Our herd consists of purebred Nubian and LaMancha does. We chose these breeds because of their great personalities, milk production, and milk quality - which is high in butterfat content (5%) and sweetness. Every goat in our herd is tested yearly and benefit from a 10 month milking cycle. We breed our girls in the fall/winter for spring/summer kids.
Our girls are milked twice a day and are given rations of organically grown, non-GMO grain that consists of Barley, Oats, Wheat, Lentils, Peas, and Corn. We also supplement with additional Selenium and Copper, much of which is lacking in our soil. After milking times the girls graze on pasture and receive lots of clean organic alfalfa to munch.
Our farm tries to adhere to a strictly chemical-free environment. Only in extreme cases that could result in death are drugs ever considered and the resulting milk production is never used for human consumption. We maintain a completely negative (TB, CAE, CL and Brucellosis) closed herd and do not vaccinate our goats. In our experience clean living conditions, a consistent healthy diet, and clean drinking water nearly eliminates the need for medical intervention.

Everyone deserves to eat clean, chemical-free food that has been treated with the utmost respect and care; that is why we do not utilize any chemicals on our plants or our animals. All our animals are fed with organically grown, Non-GMO feed and we never ever spray our farm with any kind of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides or pesticides.
