We are a small family farm in the Ozarks. Our family raises delicious all-natural beef for our customers to enjoy without all the worry. Our goal is to provide nutricious and tender beef. We are very conscious of the environment around us and the impact that our actions have on the land.
The cattle breeds we use will vary, since we look for specific traits when purchasing cattle. We mostly use Angus cross cattle. The calf needs to appeal to us. We especially like short stocky animals with a long body and a calm disposition. We look for ways to best use our resources to raise a stress free animal.
Our beef is grass fed and grain finished with about 80% grass and 20% grain the last 90 days. Our feed is custom mixed at a local grain mill with no hormones or steroids added. When the beef is being finished the cattle are separated out and put into small pastures. We are working on reconfiguring our finishing pen to be bigger in order to put less stress on the animals, leading to a better final product.
