At Reno Egg, our vision is to provide healthy, fresh eggs to people from all walks of life at affordable prices. As we grow and expand, we will add wind and solar power to the farm, as well as pasture for our birds. We are working towards the goals of obtaining animal welfare and humane certification. Once we are virtually self-sustaining, we anticipate we will be able to reduce our prices for these wonderful eggs to grocery-store levels. Our flock is currently approximately one-half heritage breeds and will be 100% heritage within a few years. Our growth plan also includes breeding, raising and hatching our chicks naturally on our ranch, eliminating the need to buy chicks from hatcheries and have them shipped halfway across the country to us.
